3. Jordan/Katie Price
Ahh Jordan. I mean Katie. The UK’s very own answer to Pammy has never been out of the tabloids in the past decade or so since she first appeared in Page 3 of The Sun. Though already a successful model, she was apparently rather insecure about the size of her breasts, believing that implants were the way forward. But one op was not enough and she kept on implanting until in recent years she’s said her size 30Gs were “sagging” and so has gone through another round of ops to have them reduced. But there is no doubt that those babies have helped her achieve fame and a multi-millionaire Jordan empire which includes posters, calendars, lingerie, a hair care range, videos, books, an album with husband Peter Andre, an appearance on I'm A Celebrity, her own TV reality series, an attempt at Eurovision in 2005 and even running as an MP for Stretford and Urmston in the 2001 General Election where she promised free breast implants, increases in nudist beaches, and a ban on parking tickets. She won 1.8% of the vote. For Katie breasts have been very big business. A £30 million business that has reportedly made her one of the richest women in Britain.

4. Barbara Windsor
While compared to our other busty wenches this Eastender doesn’t have what you’d call enormous knockers, there are several reasons why she warrants a place in our top ten. Firstly her bristols were lusted after by nearly all the men in the Carry On films, a movie canon that has shaped British humour ever since. Who can forget how they exposed themselves in Carry On Camping, and how they tried to escape from the itsy bitsy loveheart bikini she wore as poorly Burlesque dancer Goldie Locks in Carry On Again Doctor (see the clip below)? But joking aside the buxom Babs had to face a more serious boob-related storyline as Peggy Mitchell in the BBC's Eastenders when her character developed breast cancer and had to undergo a mastectomy and subsequent breast reconstruction surgery – a storyline for which she and the writers were much praised)?

5. Sam Fox
This is one busty wench who has not only dabbled with her Sapphic side – she’s now a paid up member of the 'Girls Brigade'. Yes the former 80s Page 3 model and singer has been in relationship with her manager Myra Stratton for some years now. She first came to fame in 1983 when – with her parents support – she went topless in the under the headline, 'Sam, 16, Quits A-Levels for Ooh-Levels'. At 5ft 1inches her 36D breasts certainly stood out, and with her cockney, bubbly-blonde personality and winning smile, she became the pin up of the era. A smattering of top ten singles followed – most notably 'Touch Me (I Want Your Body)' (see the clip below).H er first three singles raced into the top ten in all corners of the globe, while her six albums sold 30 million copies between them. She went on to become a huge star in India’s Bollywood film industry. The notorious TV presenting fiasco that was the 1989 BRITS Awards (with Mick Fleetwood) precede a quiet spell in her career. In recent years she’s gone back to touring her greatest hits, appeared on Celebrity Wife Swap and was recently on GaydarRadio’s Dicky and Dolly Show! [NB: I can testify her breasts still look great]. 6. Cleo Rocos
Though Kenny Everett’s busty side kick is best remembered for her appearances on his TV shows wearing revealing outfits, the Brazilian born babe had already appeared on British TV for a number of years on shows like That’s Life and The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy prior to that. Kenny and Cleo first met in 1977 when she was just 15, and even got engaged for a few days, but a marriage wasn’t likely as Kenny was – well - gay. In recent years she’s become a comic stage actress and was a member of the fateful 2007 Celebrity Big Brother house that attracted controversy for alleged racist bullying. The lady with the large ‘chesticles’ is now in her mid forties and lives by the Thames with her mother and a parrot called Max.

7. Lolo Ferrari
The story of the silicon enhanced French porn star Lolo Ferrari is a sad one. Encouraged by her husband, Eric Vigne, she underwent 22 enlargement operations to create her alleged 54J bust. She chose her name Lolo (French slang for breasts), and Ferrari (which led her to be sued by the car company), and went on to appear in ten adult films, record three songs and appear on numerous TV shows. In the UK she was first seen in 1995 when she appeared at the Cannes Film Festival, which was reported on the Channel 4 show Eurotrash, a programme on which she frequently appeared on thereafter. According to The Guinness Book of Records each of her breasts weighed 2.8 kilos (6.2 lb). She had to wear a specially engineered bra and was the woman with the largest bust enhanced with standard silicone implants. She died in March 2000 aged 37. It was first thought she had taken an overdose, but an autopsy revealed she died from “mechanically induced suffocation”. Her husband was suspected of her death and was arrested, spent one year in prison, but was later released.

8. Jane Russell
Talking of mechanically engineered brassieres, director and flying enthusiast Howard Hughes created just that for Jane Russell’s breasts in the 1943 film The Outlaw. While filming, Hughes felt the camera did not show off his leading lady’s assets quite enough. Using his engineering skills, he designed an underwired, cantilevered bra with rods of curved structural steel which were sewn into the brassiere below each breast. These were connected to the bra's shoulder straps, allowing the breasts to be pulled upward and made it possible to move the shoulder straps away from the neck. The design allowed for any amount of bosom to be freely exposed. The feature of Ms Russell’s voluptuous breasts in the film was a bit too much for the Hollywood Production Code Administration though, who insisted the film was cut to 'protect' the public. After they were removed Hughes manufactured a marvellous PR stunt by publicly announcing the film should be banned and therefore creating so much interested and controversy around the film, it packed out theatre for a week, before the censors withdrew it. When released again in 1950 it was a box office smash. As beautiful as Ms Russell (she’s now 87) and her boobies look in the film, she says she never wore Hughes’ special overshoulder bolderholder and he never noticed.

9. Carmen Electra
When Pamela Anderson left Baywatch in 1997, the producers had to replace her with an equally bouncing busty female lifeguard. In walks Playboy model Carmen Electra. Real name Tara Leigh Patrick, she appeared in the show until 1998 and has gone to appear in US comedy films in the sort of roles where her lack of acting ability has not been a problem. Much like a lot of our other fake busties, the former girlfriend of Prince says she feels her breasts are too big now - and that she was talked into increasing from a 32B to a 36DD earlier in her career - and wants a more 'natural look' now. Recently married for the third time, she's often reported talking of ‘crushes’ on other women including Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson. She was once alleged to have had a relationship with ‘I Love Rock N' Roll’ singer Joan Jett after the pair were seen snogging at a concert and Carmen appeared as her bisexual girlfriend in the singer's video for ‘A.C.D.C.’ They are apparently 'just friends'. Hmm.

10. Maxi Mounds
A recent entry to our Top Ten as US porn star Maxi Mounds has recently been declared the biggest buxom wench with the title of World's Largest Augmented Breasts by The Guinness Book of Records. With her 36MMM bust – each weighing 9kg (20lbs), Mounds' implants are polypropylene string breast implants, which irritate the breast tissue, causing them to produce fluid and 'inflate' –  but in Maxi’s case they just kept on growing. She’s lucky she can physically carry the two puppies around as she’s a large girl (in more ways that one obviously) at 6 feet in height. Maxi – not her real name – became a lap dancer in Florida in the 1990s. Before then she had been a ballet dancer and horse rider (just imagine??). She’s so far appeared in such classic films as Mega-Boob Olympics (2002) and Boob Cruise 2000, and published a book called The Maxi Mounds Guide To The World Of Exotic Dancing.
